Rosh Yeshiva

Our Rosh Yeshiva is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in chinuch. Renowned for his unique and dynamic approach to limud, he emphasizes making learning engaging and meaningful. HaRav Friedman is deeply committed to treating every bochur as an individual, ensuring they feel valued, inspired, and supported in their growth. His warm and personalized approach has left a lasting impact on countless students, fostering a love for Torah and personal development.

Rav Dovid Levy

Mashgiach

R’ Dovid Levy studied in Yeshiva Gedolah of Montreal and subsequently in the Mir Yeshiva. He became a close talmid of Rav Aryeh Finkel shlita, Rosh Yeshivas Mir. He later delivered regular vaadim in Yeshiva Bircas Mordechai. In addition to being the Mashgiach of Nesivos, R’ Levy also serves as Rosh Kollel of the Neve Yaakov Community Kollel and delivers shiurim throughout the area.

Rav Chaim Katz

Menahel Ruchani

Rav Chaim Katz learned in the Mir before entering the world of chinuch almost 20 years ago. A veteran mechanech, Rav Katz now serves as the Menahel Ruchani. He is known for his open heart and open home.

Rav Akiva Miller

Maggid Shiur

Rav Akiva Miller learned in the Mir Yerushalayim for over 15 years under the tutelage of luminaries such as Rav Nosson Tzvi Finkel zt”l, Rav Yisroel Glustein shlit”a, Rav Asher Arielli shlit”a and Rav Meir Wahrsager shlit”a. Aside from being a close talmid of Rav Elefant, Rav Miller served as his Meishiv for over 7 years. A talmid chochom and inspiring personality, Rav Miller joined our yeshiva last year with a groundbreaking kollel of talented yungeleit from Mir and Brisk whose presence continues to grace our Beis Medrash. Rav Miller launched our first-year program, and currently gives the first year shiur.

Rav Avishai Orlansky

Maggid Shiur

A renowned Posek, R’ Avishai Orlansky serves as a morning Maggid Shiur. He learned under Rav Yankel Blau zt”l, and with Rav Shmuel Weiner shlit”a, and is currently a Rosh Kollel in Rav Don Segal’s Beis Medrash in the afternoon. R’ Avishai brings years of experience, shimush and wisdom to his talmidim.

Rav Yaakov Topas

Second Seder Rebbe

R’ Yaakov Topas, an alumnus of the Mir Yerushalayim from Lakewood, NJ, has been learning and teaching in American Yeshivos in Eretz Yisroel for 18 years. Known for his sincere dedication, his attention ensures that his talmidim are maximizing their potential and developing into real B’nei Torah. R’ Topas serves as our second Seder Bekiyus Rebbe.

Night Seder Rebbe

R’ Gedalia Frenkel is a close talmid of Rav Elya Brudny and Rav Yosef Elefant. After over a decade in the Mir and receiving Semicha from Rav Yitzy Caplan, Nesivos recruited his warm approach, excitement and energy to our Beis Medrash as a night Seder Rebbe.

Rav Aaron Herzberg

Night Seder Rebbe

R’ Aaron Herzberg brings his exceptionally animated personality to our Night Seder and Mishmar program, filling the Beis Medrash with enthusiasm through his interactive shiurim and enlightening his talmidim with his knowledge of Torah and Jewish culture. R’ Aaron learned in Rav Nosson Stein’s Yeshiva and then in the Mir for over a decade.

Rav Yehoshua Dessler

Meishiv

R’ Yehoshua Dessler learned under Rav Chanina Brudny and helped develop “Brudny’s Yeshiva.” After learning under Rav Asher Arielli shlit”a and teaching in the Mir Yeshiva, he joined Nesivos as a Meishiv for both the morning and afternoon sedarim. He also oversees Student Services in the Yeshiva.

Rav Yehuda Eichorn

Meishiv

Originally from Toronto, R’ Yehuda Eichorn is a talmid of Rav Meir Stern in Passaic. He subsequently learned in Brisk and the Brisker Kollel. R’ Eichorn joined Nesivos as a Meishiv; he is known for his commitment to helping each talmid stay fully focused on the עומק הפשט and gain clarity in the sugya.

Rav Efraim Levy

Rosh Chabura

After learning in Brisk and the Mir, R’ Efraim Levy joined Nesivos as a Rosh Chaburah for the avreichim in the morning. In the afternoon, R’ Efraim oversees the bochurim and their progress, available to speak in learning or to help with anything else they may need. Combining his Beis HaTalmid upbringing with the care and dedication that Yerushalayim is known for, R’ Efraim brings a unique and unparalleled presence to Nesivos.
